Will the Union-Tribune Survive?
The New York Times doesn’t think so, according to this article in today’s issue about declining ad revenues and shrinking profits. Perfect follow-up to my blog rant the other day about how the San Diego daily paper is forced through staff cuts to rely on other people’s news reporting. Good thing we all have our online news feeds to keep us informed — just don’t spill your morning coffee on the keyboard.

I partially agree with the NYT article, as there has been a declining newspaper subscription and sharper declines in revenue. Its a digital world and print is no longer the preferred medium in most cases to news.
Our generation with technology are able to do more quicker and anywhere. Amazon quickly followed suit with Apple’s iTunes / iPod and created the Amazon Kindle (read here: http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Amazons-Wireless-Reading-Device/dp/B000FI73MA)to to take the place of traditional print. The device cost about $400 and sold out within several hours. This speaks volume in the direction of print media.
