Many of you have probably seen the collection of videos called “Did You Know?” that have circulated around the web via YouTube.  I play those videos every so often when speaking to groups on the Beginning Social Media, because they do a brilliant job of putting things into perspective and laying the groundwork for why we all need to participate in social media platforms.

Well, here’s the latest video in the series:

Makes the point pretty clearly, don’t you think?  Another interesting thing about this video – I received it from a friend via LinkedIn, and then noticed that several of my followers on Twitter had tweeted the link to YouTube, and a few of the blogs I like to read have featured it as well.  It was posted to YouTube on July 30 and already has more than 572,000 views and 573 comments.

If that’s not a perfect example of the power of social media, I don’t know what is….
