Bailey Gardiner hiring summer public relations intern
Amazing how difficult it is to find talent, no matter what the level. Some agencies are taking quite the creative route to lure the right fit.
My road less traveled: if you’re a student and want to be considered for a paid pr internship this summer, write a creative comment on why you should be considered, along with your contact information, and I’ll get back to you – if you’re a fit, that is.

I am the obvious choice for this position for several reasons which I shall list (everyone loves a list…especially a Top Ten list).
1. I am funny. Example: What did the farmer say when he lost his truck? Answer: Where’s my truck? (insert chuckle or groan here)
2. I am passionate to the point of obsession. This means I work hard, I love to brainstorm and think critically, and I enjoy learning new things.
3. I love getting to know people. Whether this means clients, co-workers, media outlets or the mailman, I am your girl.
4. I am an artist; I paint, sculpt, and decoupage everything. This means I have the eye for design and the creativity for advertising.
5. I care. I love to help people reach their goals.
6. I make cupcakes. And bring them to work. For any occasion.
7. I have tons of writing experience and my summer reading plans include the AP Style Book.
8. I actually enjoy the monotony of filing.
9. I have lots of colorful skirts and shoes that make any office just a bit brighter and prettier.
10. Lastly, the most obvious reason and one that I am thrilled to discover: I am the first (and possibly only) person to post a comment on this topic!
#10 should do it. Though, can you make pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting…?
My response to this post is beyond fashionably late, but I promise to be worthy of the wait! I spent over a year on a big studio lot, in a city full of angels, or so I once thought. But I missed my dear San Diego too much to sit put. So three weeks ago I gave my notice of leave, I hopped in my car and headed south for reprieve. A fortuitous moment led me to your website – I’ve been searching and searching for a PR firm that is just right. Like Goldilocks, I feel I’ve found the perfect porridge. Please let me know if I can send over my resume for you to forage. (I know, that last bit was borderline painful. Is there a section in the AP Style book about writing bad poetry?).
Send it over, Erica: Lauren@baileygardiner.com
We’ve hired through the summer, and are always looking for great talent.
